MAT CLASS
Matwork is accessible to everyone as long as the level is adapted because it is the most difficult part of the Pilates Method. The 34 original exercises are often broken down to make the work easy to learn. The difficulty of mat exercises lies in the fact that you must control your body in space and against gravity by using only your body as a means of resistance.
The benefits of Pilates on a mat are numerous. Classes on a mat allow good body strengthening, a revival of certain muscles (pelvic floor, deep abdominals) beneficial for relieving the back and creating a more resistant body. Group work allows a certain autonomy in the management and mastery of one's body. Control of the deep muscles is fundamental especially at an advanced level.
To vary and help you better feel the body's resistance, we use various accessories during mat classes: magic circle, roller, theraband, swiss ball, stability cushion, small balls.
